What is the difference between graphite and PTFE gaskets?
Graphite is a natural form of carbon, while PTFE, or Polytetrafluoroethylene is a synthetic material. In relation to gaskets, Graphite is suitable for high-temperature environments, whereas PTFE is better known for its chemical resistance and low friction.
What is the difference between a Kammprofile Gasket and a Spiral Wound Gasket?
The KLINGER Kammprofile and Spiral Wound Gaskets are both great options for sealing high-performance applications. However, they also both differ in many ways. The KLINGER Kammprofile Gasket is a rigid product with a metal core and serrated profile. It is ideal for high-pressure and high-temperature conditions and is more reusable than a Spiral Wound Gasket.
What is the longest lasting gasket material?
By maintaining the storage area in accordance with ISO 2230 standards, the longest lasting gasket material is the KLINGERSIL C-8200.
What is a KLINGER Insulation Kit?
The KLINGER Insulation Kit is a collection of products specifically designed to provide galvanic protection when two dissimilar flange materials are joined. It prevents corrosion by eliminating the potential for the system to act as a galvanic cell.
